SO CLOSE to the nerdfighter sign. So close.
I would be so happy if someone can get Obama to do the nerdfighter sign someday.
I have an extra ticket to the Tour De Nerdfighting in Atlanta next weekend if anybody still needs one.
Spreading the word.

Since we’re almost in the home stretch of when TFiOS comes out, I figured I’ll let you all know about http://tfioshomes.tumblr.com/
I know John really wants the signed books to go to happy nerdfighter homes so I thought it would be fun to see the fate of as many of the books as possible :)
Right now, John is the only known TFiOS home, but be sure to submit a picture when you get your copy! :)
If you are contracting it is - yes.
If you are not contracting it is - no.
OMG you guys, the Nerdfighter team on Kiva.org is now in 7th place on the list of New Members All Time! If you haven’t joined yet, now is the perfect time.
This month we’re also in 10th place on the list of most money lent with a whopping $38,875 so far!!
The minumum amount you can lend is $25 dollars, and you can choose between around 2500 loantakers from all over the world. After the loan is fully funded, the loantaker will start paying back the loan and as soon as you’ve recieved a re-payment you can lend the money to someone else.
Even if you can’t loan money right now, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t join the team and follow our developement!
Amazing. Nerdfighters certainly are made of awesome.
I’m going to do that thing where I reblog pictures of people wearing the shirt I made because I find it unfathomably cool that something I made is on people’s chests.

I’m new to the nerdfighter community, and I have a few questions.
1) Is Hank married/have any kids?
2) Why do they refer to John’s wife as the yeti?
3) Is there a way I can see what John’s/maybe Hank’s wives look like, just out of sheer curiosity?
Hank is married to The Katherine and she is wonderful and lovely and she appears in some of this videos (like this one) and also plays games with him on Hank Games (like this one). They don’t have kids
John’s wife, Sarah, is referred to as The Yeti because she appears prominently in nerdfighter folk-lore and there are stories about her, but sightings are rare.
You can see Katherine in that video above. There is a picture of The Yeti on her Twitter page (but be cautious - her cuteness may break your computer)
Welcome to Nerdfighteria :)

Nerdfighter Word Search
new song inspired by John Green
This is really great.
This is the same person that did the Bias song.
And he was featured on Buck Factor at Vidcon.
And he’s super nice and lovely.
And you all should listen to his music because it’s great.

On a game show. It’s called Millionaire Hot Seat.
It’s not going to be filmed for another month and won’t air for a while after that, but that gives me ample time to ask the question of you:
SHOULD I WEAR MY PIZZA JOHN T-SHIRT?
Or any other nerdy/hilarious/pop-culture/nerdfighter-related t-shirt?
Absolutely yes!
Cuuuuuute!
I’ve always wanted to feel like a true nerdfighter, but I often end up thinking I’ve got nothing to offer/am not smart enough to make a comment. I’ve never met another nerdfighter, and I don’t think I’m cool enough to be one.
It’s probably silly to think that. I can see John and Hank encouraging my nerdfighter will, and saying that I’d be accepted into nerdfighteria any day.
Maybe it’s anxiety that prevents me from feeling as though I truly belong. But frreal, man… I want to be one!
Perhaps I ought to try harder.
Anyway, DFTBA, and ITTBA!
It makes me really sad when I see posts like this. It seems like the idea of needing to be ‘cool enough’ to fit in with other nerdfighters has come up more and more lately. I’m not a fan of this and feel like it goes against the very ideals of being a nerdfighter to begin with. If you care about the world and aren’t a ragingly vapid individual, then you are just as much of a nerdfighter as anyone else! And most of the nerdfighters that I’ve met have been incredibly welcoming, caring, friendly, and all-around awesome people.
Sometimes it’s hard to get that feeling of community - especially when dealing with one that’s mainly centered around online interactions, but I really do encourage you to interact as much as you can. Commenting on youtube videos can be a bit daunting, so a good way to get to know some nerdfighters is through Tumblr or Twitter!
You say that you want to be a nerdfighter - so you are one! :) There aren’t any ‘requirements’ beyond that.
